CWA Traveling Exhibit
September 1st – November 1st
CWA is hosting a “Past, Present, and Future,” travel exhibit showcasing chronicling the role of women in architecture from September 1 to November 1, 2022. This presentation exhibited at AIA’22 National conference, and for 2 months it will be traveling to different offices around the city with a culminating Panel discussion event in mid-November.
The exhibition will showcase the progression of architectural work by women architects (both CWA members and nonmembers) throughout history, with a focus on their accomplishments in the city of Chicago. CWA hopes that this exhibition will spark a dialogue about how the profession of architecture has evolved throughout time, and what role the Woman Architect played in that shift. The exhibition includes work by current and past practicing female architects, as well as current work in progress and speculative work by undergraduate and graduate students.
