How will your days be spent
This position will work on programming and planning parameters including lab functional models, lab staffing, departmental relationships and detailed lab design.
Participate in client and user group interviews for needs assessment and implement lab planning documentation. Understand lab equipment and its impact on research spaces.
Work with team members and consultants, programming projects, conducting site visits, and all necessary communications and documentation needed to ensure successful completion of projects.
Work directly with multi-disciplinary teams and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
Participate in client presentations and project meetings.

What you bring to this role

Experience:

*Minimum of three years of recent science planning experience with a focus in laboratory facilities for higher education, vivariums, pharmaceutical, government or process planning required.
*Knowledge of codes, standards and guidelines as related to labs, individual municipalities, State, IBC, ADA, ANSI, NFPA, NSF, cGMP and cGLP preferred.

Software:

*Revit proficiency required.
*AutoCAD preferred.

Education:

Associates degree in architecture, engineering, planning or related field required; architectural degree preferred.
Professional registration preferred.
Sustainability accreditation preferred.

-This position is responsible for planning, programming, and the development of healthcare departments within large, complex medical facilities.
-Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver specific pieces of projects (e.g., departments, floors, etc.) on schedule and within budgets.
-Responsible for coordinating and running user meetings for needs assessment in order to prepare functional and space programs.
-Participate in client presentations and project meetings, helping to provide direction for team members and consultants.
-Involved in clinically-significant construction administration including site visits, communication, and documentation.
-May assist in cultivating new business and opportunities.
What You Bring to this Role

Experience:

-Broad base of experience with patient, ambulatory, diagnostic, and academic medical facilities required.

We are looking for a bright, creative, thoughtful individual to join our team as a project manager. The position would encompass all aspects of design and construction administration.
• Mastery of design and creative solution development coupled with technical integrity
• Working knowledge of custom residential architecture
• Six plus years of experience working in a professional design office
• Two plus years in project management including team leadership, delegation, and consultant coordination
• A professional degree in architecture
• Licensed to practice architecture or on licensure track
• Mastery of AutoCAD and/or Revit technology
• Strong communication, organizational, graphic, detailing, and time-management skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Accountable for completeness and accuracy of documents (QC)
• Budgeting and schedule management during production phase
• CA phase team leadership
• Mentoring of less experienced staff
• Strong ability to self-direct
